Marriage Green Card

The marriage green card allows a foreign spouse of a US citizen or green card holder to apply for legal permanent residency also known as a green card in the United States. This option is available to foreign spouses who are physically present in the US.

Marriage Criteria	Description of Criteria
Lawful Entry	Foreign spouse entered the US legally on a visa.
Lawful Marriage	Evidence that your marriage is lawful.
Genuine Relationship	Evidence showing relationship is real. Joint lease, banks, bills, etc.
Affidavit of Support	Demonstrate financial ability to support your spouse.
Medical Examination	Foreign spouse will need to undergo a medical exam.
Public Charge	Foreign spouse must prove s/he will not become a "public charge."
